Yeilyn lives in a small wooden shack in an impoverished community. Her father is not in her life. Her mother struggles to provide basic necessities for Yeilyn. They have never had running water or even an indoor kitchen. Yeilyn has only known generations of hunger and desperation, but she dreams of one day finishing school and making a better future for herself.
