Yadira dreams of becoming a vet when she grows up, but she doesn’t have the funds to stay in school. Her father is not in her life. Her single mother struggles to afford the basic necessities. They live in a small house with several other relatives. Education is Yadira’s only hope to break free from the vicious cycle of poverty she has always known.
