Winnie’s parents separated when she was nine months old and abandoned her. Their whereabouts are unknown. Winnie and her twin siblings, Joel and Brian, now live with their grandfather, who is elderly and unable to work. The family relies on the kindness of others for food, and sometimes there is not enough to eat.
