Wilkenson lives in a tiny shack in the impoverished community outside of Cap Haitian, Haiti. His family has never had running water, or even an indoor kitchen. Food is scarce, and there is also no money to pay for Wilkenson’s school fees and supplies. Wilkenson has only known generations of hunger and desperation, but he dreams of one day finishing school and making a better future for himself.
