Snyder has a painful life story. She was abandoned by her parents and was found living alone by a well-wisher. This person attempted to care for Snyder, but they were not taking good care of her to the point that neighbors reported the case to the child welfare department. Snyder was recently brought to live at the Kitale Church of Christ Children's Home, where she can be safe and her needs will be met.
