Sidi’s father is the family’s only provider, working in a cemetery, but his income is irregular. Her mother is a housewife, and most meals consist mainly of porridge. Sidi is the youngest of much older siblings, all of whom have their own families and cannot care for her. Education is her best hope for a brighter future.
