Samuel's mother was very young when he was born and was unable to care for him on her own. His maternal aunt stepped in to raise him, and he continues to live with her. Although she works as a teacher at Alara Orphan’s Day School, she struggles to meet the family’s basic needs. Education is Samuel's best hope to break the cycle of poverty.
