Nerry Ochieng
Nerry's family has truly struggled in recent years. They were displaced from their family land due to tribal clashes. They had to leave everything they owned and now rent a property, which takes up almost all of their income. Ongoing drought in the village of Bondo has caused it to be almost impossible to farm. Nerry's father works odd jobs, and his mother sells items in the village market. They earn around $1 per day to care for the family. Nerry is second-born of four young children in his household. He needs a helping hand so he can go to school.
