Mercy is the firstborn of three children and lives with her parents, who are peasant farmers. They rely mainly on what they grow and occasionally sell farm produce to cover basic household needs. Changing weather patterns, including drought and flooding, often affect their crops and make each season uncertain. Even so, Mercy remains committed to her education. With reliable support, Mercy can stay in school, and keep moving toward a stronger future.
