Maureen’s life is full of heartbreak, but she has great hopes for the future. Maureen’s father died when she was very young and her mother abandoned her children. Maureen and her three siblings live with different families in the village. Maureen’s favorite class is Chemistry and she enjoys playing basketball with her friends. She wants to be a teacher when she grows up. Educaiton is Maureen's only hope to break the cycle of poverty.
