Mateo is an energetic boy from Piedras Negras with a passion for soccer and a dream of becoming a police officer. His mother is a teacher and struggles to support Mateo and his two siblings by herself. The reality of living in a small cinderblock house on a limited income makes providing for their future a constant challenge. Mateo has no money for a school uniform or school tution.
