Levis’s life has been filled with hardship. Levis has lived with his maternal grandmother since birth. His mother abandoned him and his father is unknown. Levis’s grandmother is elderly and unable to continue caring for him. Levis enrolled at the Lakeside Orphanage, where he now has clean water, electricity, nutritious food, and access to education. Education is Levis's best hope to break free from the cycle of poverty.
