Pravalika has had a hard life. Her father was an alcoholic and was abusive. Her mother was left paralyzed after a fight with her father. Pravalika was taken in by her grandmother. She was impoverished and could not provide for Pravalika. Pravalika is now being raised at a CRF children's home. She has only known hardship and hunger, but she dreams of one-day finishing school and making a better future for herself.
