Kevin is fortunate to have both of his parents. His father is a small-scale farmer, but harsh weather often prevents him from growing enough to feed the large family. His mother works as a day laborer, but steady work is scarce and her income inconsistent. Kevin has five siblings, and caring for them places a heavy burden on his parents. Education is Kevin's best hope for a life filled with possibility.
