Joy is a bright, joyful child whose education is at risk. Her family depends entirely on her father's ability to find odd jobs as they come up, while her mother has no income. They live in a flood-prone slum in a rented house and struggle each month to pay rent. When flooding hits, their living conditions worsen. Her father's earnings are less than $1 a day and do not cover even the most basic needs. Joy loves school and wants to keep learning, but without support, staying in class is uncertain.
