Jesus lives in harsh living conditions with his mother and three siblings. His family’s income is day-to-day, relying on his mother to sell tamales. They never have enough food, and there is no money to send four children to school. Jesus has only known generations of hunger and desperation, but he dreams of one-day finishing school and making a better future for himself.
