Ivone was born to a teenage mother. Ivone was abandoned by both parents shortly after her birth. Ivone was left under the care of her maternal grandmother. Her grandmother was diagnosed with terminal cancer and passed away in 2020. Now Ivone lives with foster parents. Education is Ivone's only hope to break free from the cycle of poverty.
