Israel is an active, cheerful little boy. His father is a day laborer but steady work is hard to find and his salary is unstable. His mother is a teacher at the Alara Orphan’s Day School, but her earnings are not sufficient to provide for Isarael and his brother. Education is Israel's best hope for a life filled with opportunity.
