Hillary’s life is filled with challenges. His parents moved away, leaving their children to fend for themselves. He now lives with his foster parents. His foster father works as a farmhand but earns very little. His foster mother stays home to care for Hillary and his five siblings. Together, they struggle to provide the basic necessities for the family. Many nights, the family eats only one meal a day, and sometimes they go to bed without eating. Education is Hillary's best chance for a brighter future.
