Heaven’s parents separated, and her father abandoned the family. Her mother struggles to find steady work and provide the basic necessities for Heaven  and her sisters. Most nights the family goes to bed hungry. Despite the hunger and hardship, Heaven clings to hope that one day her life will be filled with joy and opportunity.
