Hawwat’s life has been filled with hardship. Her father abandoned the family, leaving her mother to provide for the children alone. Her mother works as a day laborer but struggles to find consistent work, and many nights the family goes to bed hungry. Despite these challenges, Hawwat loves school. Hawwat knows educaiton is her opportunity to succeed.
