Humphrey's future depends on his education, but poverty threatens to hold him back. His father takes on tough construction jobs as a casual laborer, while his mother works the land as a small-scale farmer. Even with both parents working, their income is less than $1 a day and must be stretched further by caring for relatives. School fees are often out of reach, forcing Humphrey to miss class.
