Hamphery's short life has been marked by so much pain. In 2021, Hamphry was diagnosed with a kidney growth and spent much of 2022 in treatment until it was finally removed. Shortly after, his father was in a road accident that left his leg permanently injured, ending his ability to work as a driver. His mother now provides for the family by keeping and selling chickens, but it’s insufficient to cover school fees for Hamphery and his large family.
