Gift's young life has been marked by hardship, yet she brings joy wherever she goes. Gift’s mother left, leaving her father, Ben, to care for her on his own. He loves her, but he has a hard time finding consistent work and providing for her. Most nights they go to bed hungry. Education is Gifts only hope to break free from the cycle of poverty.
