Fredrick’s life is filled with hardship and neglect. Fredrick’s father died of AIDS and his mother Susan is HIV positive. Fredrick’s mother is a day laborer but is often unable to work due of her illness. Due to this Fredrick and his family often eat one meal a day. Fredrick suffers from an extreme form of protein malnutrition which turned his hair orange. Fredrick favorite subject is Science, and he wants to be a teacher when he grows up.
