Francis is a bright boy who has big dreams of becoming a police officer when he grows up. His mother is raising four children on her own without steady employment. She struggles to consistently provide for their needs. They never have enough food, and there is no money to send the Francis and his three brothers to school. Education is Francis’ only hope to break free from the vicious cycle of poverty he has always known.
