Felistas comes from the Turkana community. She has six siblings, including two sets of twins. She lives at Lakeside Orphanage and returns home during the holidays. Her father works as a casual laborer, but steady work is hard to find and his income is unreliable. Her mother earns very little selling fruits and vegetables. Education is her best hope for a brighter future.
