Victoria is a bright and hardworking student who loves learning and going to school. Her father works as a day laborer, but consistent work is difficult to find and his income is unreliable. Her mother is a street vendor whose earnings are also unpredictable. Despite their best efforts, the family struggles to provide enough food for Victoria and her siblings. Education is Victoria's best hope for a bright future.
