Ekaal does not know his father. His mother never received any education, so she cannot find work to provide for the four young children. On top of that responsibility, she also must care for her elderly grandmother in her old age. The family goes hungry nearly every day. Ekaal's most basic needs are not being met. He does not have decent clothes to wear and he has not yet started school.
