Derrick’s young life has been marked by insecurity. After his parents’ divorce, his mother remarried, leaving his father to care for Derrick and his three younger brothers alone. Due to financial hardship, Derrick was enrolled at an orphanage, where his father works as a security guard. Education is Derrick's chance to step into a brighter tomorrow.
