Brandon’s life has been marked by hardship and abandonment. His parents left their five children in the care of their elderly grandmother. Struggling to make ends meet his grandmother cannot provide more than one meal a day, and there are many nights when the children go to bed hungry. Education is Brandon's only chance to break free from the cycle of poverty.
