Blessing’s life has been filled with hardship. His father abandoned the family, leaving his mother, Salome, to care for him on her own. She sells fish and vegetables from a small street stand, but her income is unreliable, depending on the availability of fresh fish and produce. Since enrolling at Alara Orphan’s Day School, Blessing’s health and academic performance have improved significantly. Education brings Blessing one step closer to a brighter future.
