Billingtone is a young boy whose life has been marked by hardship. His father passed away, and his mother abandoned him. He now lives with his aunt who cares for him and his five siblings. Despite her best efforts, she can scarcely afford to feed them regularly, and most nights they go to bed hungry. Education is Billingtone's best hope to break free from the cycle of poverty.
