Astrid lives in a tiny concrete shack in a poor neighborhood. Her parents struggle to find work. They live day-to-day. Astrid has severe allergies and is in poor health. Astrid has only known generations of hunger and desperation, but she dreams of one-day finishing school and making a better future for herself.
