Alvin is a cheerful and loving boy. After his parents separated, they struggled to provide for their children. His father is a small-scale farmer but finds it difficult to sell enough to support the family. His mother cannot find steady work and often travels in search of employment to help provide for the children. Alvin and his two siblings now live with their grandmother so their parents can focus on working. Education is Alvin's hope for a brighter future, giving her the chance to overcome these challenges.
