Aloyce’s mother is raising him and his siblings alone. Aloyce’s mother works as a domestic helper. Her income is unstable and she struggles to consistently feed and provide the basic needs of her children. Frequent flooding in the area has compounded the problems his family faces. At the moment they have no permanent place to live and are temporarily living with neighbors. Education is Alyoce's only hope to break free from the cycle of poverty.
