Maria lives lives in severe poverty conditions with her parents and three siblings. They struggle to afford food and clothing, depending on whether or not Maria's father is able to find a work. Jobs are scarce and times are harder than ever. There is no money to send Maria to school. Education is Maria’s only hope to break free from the vicious cycle of poverty she has always known.
