Lamech lost his father during the war on Mt. Elgon. His father was a peaceful man who refused to join the rebel fighters. Lamech's mother was injured and left partially paralyzed. This means she cannot work. She even struggles to farm their small shamba (garden) for the children's food. Lamech has six siblings. They are not receiving their basic needs.
