Aisha comes from a single parent household. Her mother works odd jobs in the slums, often earning $1 per day or less. Aisha's basic needs are not able to be met at home. Despite all of the challenges in her life, Aisha does very well in school and is considered to be determined and hard-working in her education. She says she wants to become a doctor.
